Exit Art will be closing permanently on May 20, 2012.

It’s crazy to think of Exit Art shutting down. Sad to see Jeanette’s passing, and wishing the best for Papo and everyone else there in the future. Exit Art was one of the reasons I moved to NYC – their historical legacy and awesome space (never did get to see their SoHo space, but still, legacy!) being the draw, not to mention their rock-solid alternative programming (digi-movies, election night coverage, pop-up events, etc.). Their culture will be missed.
