a year ago today I took this photo of the rotating shoe display at the Bathing Ape store on Greene Street in SoHo. remember it quite clearly. took it when the store was still closed, quite early in morning, the metal shutter was only just open, just above halfway-up. It’s amazing how well memory can be triggered through digital media such as photography like this – so casual and almost informal but still very specific memory-placement and recall.
