Lobbed off the hair yesterday night. A few months of complete laziness with regards to my hair meant that a couple of weeks ago it was long enough to be put back into a pony tail, for the first time since my first quarter in high school! (thereafter it was the occasional liberty spikes and various incarnations of mohawks until, well just a few months ago – reread, laziness!)

but the heat lately has been so intense that my hair would absorb humidity and redistribute it to my neck. that’s enough! snip. my hair naturally takes a sort of ‘upward vector’, like most tree branches or plants it grows out and up, reaching for the sun, so with all that lift I actually create natural drift now around my head, and walking creates a nice cooling breeze. ahhhhh.
