this is interesting. as political candidates for office realize that they can’t depend upon all the same-ol’ manipulative means of winning the vote – or the agents who employ these means – they’re turning to YouTube to engage a wider audience – which also means that they personally start compiling video archives online and allow themselves to be scrutinized and referenced by the general public, which is great!

the first such video I found [via The Fringe Element] is this video by John Edwards, whom you’ll remember was Kerry’s VP-running-mate in the failed ’04 bid:

then I thought, “Why doesn’t Barack Obama have a YouTube account, EH!?” Sho nuff! Yesterday he put a video online announcing his plans to create a presidential exploratory committee!

No matter what, I think it’s easy to say that ’08 will be interesting!
