now this is what the internet is for!

I’ve always thought of my weblog as a depository of my own thoughts; I can’t remember everything that pops up (not popup, but pops up!) on my screen, so I like to think that all I need remember is a tidbit of that moment when I wrote that blog post about whatnot. Then, at a later date, I can reference the blog to find out what I can’t remember but know I once knew! Whew!

Well, another great aspect of weblogs and the internet is a type of archiving.

I stumbled upon a weblog earlier today that is an archive but also interpretive on a lot of other levels:

it could be conceptual in nature

or it could be humourous if, like me, you tend to think that things repeated over and over stradle the line between excessive and annoying (and therefore funny, again, like me)

so you can understand my excitement when I stumbled upon the weblog ‘text on things‘, a weblog that archives products using simple titles (air pump, bra, plastic bag, saw) and then records the text… on… things. yup!
