Adafruit Industries are awesome – and already you’re thinking to yourself, “Wait, I’ve heard that name before, haven’t I?” They’ve been mentioned with frequent disdain and praise over the past month, ever since they put up the $3k bounty for hacked drivers for the XBOX Kinect – which has since been turned into an invisibility cloak, interactive puppet, and hundreds if not nearly a thousand other ingenius creative uses. Anyhow check out this video with their founder Limor Fried discussing her Tweet-a-Watt, a home energy consumption tweeting hack – I helped produce this video, and shot some (but very little) b-roll:
