If you haven’t already, might I suggest making your own The Simpsons avatar over on The Simpsons Movie<\/a> website.<\/p>\n I reckon you’ll be able to ‘insert’ your avatar into some flash-driven Springfield environment, but the people icon on the billboard is still ‘COMING SOON’, so this option isn’t set yet. Maybe it’ll open up after the launch of the movie. For the time being you can create and continually edit your avatars, name them, change their fashion sensibilities, give them a tan, etc.<\/p>\n From Mii avatars<\/a> for the Nintendo Wii<\/a> to fantasy avatars created for online environments like World of Warcraft<\/a>, or contemporary artists interpretation of avatars in virtual worlds such as Second Life<\/a> (Richard Minsky once mentioned at a talk at Location One<\/a> that business people pay him to make them avatars to look like themselves, so when they meet their business partners in real-life, they will recognize each other!), avatars are quickly outnumbering real-world bodies.
