But what’s interesting and what’s becoming mainstream political discourse – by the way I really live for Super Tuesdays! – is how even limelight Republican footholds (or swing states in the case of Ohio) are starting to divide into “red” and “blue” sectors, with blue typically representing urban centers, and red representing the rural void. It’s not just Ohio either, have a look at other states that have had primaries and caucuses thus far. Also, the national map itself is starting to divide, with the “blue” winner taking the West and East coasts, and the “red” winner typically winning the middle. The national map below is almost more indicative of a presidential election, not a party nomination process – but the schisms in the Republican party are deep, and the wounds are starting to fester:<\/p>\n
