{"id":200,"date":"2006-11-04T12:52:00","date_gmt":"2006-11-04T19:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.nicknormal.com\/normalblog\/2006\/11\/04\/art-cars\/"},"modified":"2009-03-17T07:16:37","modified_gmt":"2009-03-17T14:16:37","slug":"art-cars","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.nicknormal.com\/normalblog\/art-cars\/","title":{"rendered":"art cars"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>ArtFagCity over two weeks ago posted about artists fabricating &#8220;life sized cars out of unconventional automobile materials&#8221; (<a href=\"http:\/\/artfagcity.blogspot.com\/2006\/10\/artists-are-making-cars.html\">original post here<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Always one fighting for my contemporaries as well as being interested in art that is more than simply static objects in a white cube space (although I am sad I missed the <em>Inside-Out NASCAR<\/em> at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.pierogi2000.com\/flatfile\/devinedaNASCar.html\">Pierogi2000 earlier this year<\/a> &#8211; looks like it would have been a fun piece to see), I thought I should highlight Jason Eisner, a friend, fellow artist, and ex-boss!<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" id=\"image208\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.nicknormal.com\/normalblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/11\/eisner-boxcar.jpg?w=640&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"eisner-boxcar.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Above is a photo of one of Jason&#8217;s (standing to left of car, with beard) wood (mostly scrap) sculptures. This, a functional comic-car.
