like I mentioned last night, went drinking with my mates Sarah and her floozie Jamil, at the Burp Castle (Sarah’s mate Melissa bartends, and she’s a riot!) in the East Village, right around the corner from Pommes Frites. at one point we started commenting on the mural behind us, a sinking ships scene where all the monks are attempting to save all the barrels of beer, and are so distracted by the good drink on their plank raft that they don’t even notice their brethren getting near-devoured by a ferocious shark!

I forget what made us laugh at this very moment but it was good, and Jamil got off a good snap.

and y’all should also check out Flickr’s integration with Yahoo-maps and all the goodies therein. Lots of interactivity involved, and in the right circumstances and employment is a more-interesting way to view a user’s photostream (now one can only imagine what other – i.e. curated, exhibited, etc. – applications such a feature could be used towards – something I tried to implement a few months ago during the Queens Blackout Division exhibition at Flux Factory, but which was never implemented because apparently some members of Flux Factory have an aversion to technology for understanding art!).

And this whole blog post has reminded me I need to start compiling my ‘RSS for artists’ post series. coming soon, promiz!
