Truth be told I’m more of a star TREK geek than a wars one. Couple quick reasons for this:

  • George Lucas himself always put me off from becomming a true fan
  • I much prefer a sojourn to a battle
  • Jar Jar Binks (nuff said)
  • Geordie La Forge’s otchkies
  • Star Trek does justice to both the television and film formats; Star Wars has never had good television presence.
  • real science potential: holodecks and transporters
  • Earl Grey Tea, hot.

HOWEVER, I’ve always been a fan of Star Wars fans, and their general obsessiveness with their own fandom and the iconography and history/ies of their universe and their commitment to finding it here on planet Earth. See for yourself:
