Microsoft has an Indian-born CEO and Board of Directors consisting of an African-American Chairman, alongside two females and six white dudes, in addition to four female, two asian male, and 7 white dudes in the Executive column; Apple’s Board of Directors is made up of 7 white dudes and one asian lady (who is without a profile) and an Executive team consisting of nine white dudes. So Apple is 16 white guys and one lady, and Microsoft is diversity.
Fascinating.
“think different”
“yes! we’re all individuals…”
any stats on Linux leadership communities?
Had a similar thought as I was writing; “curmudgeons with beards” snark aside, Canonical is pretty good with 8 on their “management team” (i.e. Executives) with 1 African-American and 1 lady (who is CEO, actually). Red Hat is mostly whiteys but has a few standout roles including a female “Chief People Officer” (in lieu of CEO) and a handful of Indian and Pakistani-born management. Honestly within the Linuxsphere the bios available get really thin really fast. Less profile, y’know.
