In what is a beautiful blend of live action and highly stylized post-production (“techniques including VHS transfers and custom scanned 16mm film stock were implemented to give the short its retro look”), Rainfall Films created this “non-profit” short film, Metroid: The Sky Calls, based on some “voting” system by users/readers. Either way the result is remarkable:
