Honestly this only reinforces my opinion about how I never understood the desire to live in Manhattan – after all the really wonderful views of the skyline are to be had from the other side of the river, or in this case from Roosevelt Island (technically in New York County, but really it’s own territory!). Not to say that perspectives of areas in Queens and Brooklyn aren’t lovely, but I prefer the vantage from those boroughs, to gaze upon Manhattan; I like to “go” to the City, but not to live there. Or at the very least, I just really love these views! Views that Manhattanites will almost never see because they (sometimes pretentiously) never leave their borough.
