Sean McIntyre, Jason Eppink, and Reid Bingham set up a Raspberry Pi-based auto-GIF-stitching 3-frame photobooth at the recent Flux Factory auction & benefit and the results are pretty remarkable. Here’s a glimpse of the setup:
Following a countdown by the operator, the moment was instantaneous and the results immediate – designed and built around multiple open-source and free software libraries. The depth of just 3 frames creates a pretty remarkable spatial perception, probably best seen in this GIF of the artists:
