and yeah, Raf always was my favorite character – for anybody interested in a non-bubblegum TMNT read I highly recommend the “Return to New York” series from 1989 (issues #19-21); this series is what really turned me onto Rafael, and it’s inside-b&w inking still ranks really high on my list:
