Tonight will be three months that Amelia died. For me it was one of the saddest days of my life . Amelia was one of the best friends of my daughter Gandja and like all her good friends became like daughters to me, Amelia also became one in my heart. When i think about that day ,tears come to my eyes and i try to learn something positive like living and loving right now !

I’ve just recently found this blog and wanted to express my sympathies here as well. I saw that Amelia loved life and wanted to spread that love to others. She urged all of us to be happy and the world is at a loss without her. I offer my condolences to her family and shall keep you all in my thoughts.

My sincere condolences to the entire Geocos family on a very tragic event. I never met Amelia however i had a privilege to train with her brother Will Geocos in Kenpo school few years back.

I’m so sorry for your loss.
I never knew this girl
but looking at the pictures,
I see myself in them.

To lose anyone is horrible.

To lose anyone who fights the battle of being themselves, who shares her intellect to change the world is worse.

This is a sad and uncalled for way of death.
Bicyclists, you are important to be a bicyclist.

i live at 48th and 1st, and witnessed the aftermath of amelia’s tragic accident. my boyfriend and i have just completed a ghost bike for amelia’s memory, and are placing it at the site of her death. we are both bikers, and felt obligated to show our sadness and remorse at yet another fatal bike accident in new york. i am so sorry for your loss.

I didn’t know Amelia personally…but for one as talented and young as her to lose her life in such a way is a far reaching tragedy. my prayers to to all that knew her well and my heartfelt condolences to her family. God Bless.
